Her food comes from her fascination with the cultural aspects of Los Angeles, which was ignited by a trip to Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced by her Italian American roots. The restaurant received a warm welcome. Lofaso has received praise by her fans for her rendition of traditional Italian dishes. Customers have described Scopa as an essential neighbourhood staple, where Lofaso always serves food that is inviting genuine and incredibly satisfying. Lofaso was a student of legendary chefs and absorbed their sophisticated techniques but she never hesitated to take extraordinary risks in order to follow her intuition. In the year 2011, Lofaso partnered along with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to launch Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Lofaso found her place in Black Market, and through her partnerships she has created. Her creative independence could be enhanced through this collaboration. Black Market is not constrained by a single direction, and that's the goal. One course may begin with potatoes chips, peppers and some dill. This could be followed by Korean wings and meatballs.
