Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a popular American performer and actress. Bell is a Michigan native, born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). She was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, to the family of a Polish mother and father that was German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen found her talent in the entertainment industry in her early years. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was cast as a model in advertisements on television and newspapers. Also, Bell began taking acting lessons privately. Bell appeared as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the production for high school of The Wizard of Oz. Bell later moved in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell dropped out of the school in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. However the scene she played was removed out of the movie and she only appears as a credit. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
