Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress best known for her role in the movies 'Beta, Saajan', and 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!' Her career in the late 1980s and gained fame with her role in the film 'Tezaab' where she played with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the following film, she starred in the movie "Dil" in which she shared screen space alongside Aamir Khan. Born to a middle-class, middle-class family from Mumbai and began learning dance from a young age. She started acting when she was a youngster and had a difficult few years because most of her initial films were flops. Her career took off and went on to become a leading actress in the Indian film industry. After her wedding, she took some time off from acting before returning to the entertainment business. Recently, she had an important role in the film 'Gulaabgang", which focused on the struggle of women across India. Dixit has been nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards she won. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour in India. She is also well-known for her involvement in social causes.
