
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress as well as a media personality and singer. She has been the judge for Britain's Got Talent, an ITV talent competition since 2007. She also hosts the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings. Holden was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent the majority of her childhood in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden was also in TV in three seasons of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She was also participant in three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" featuring Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. She co-starred alongside Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy drama written by Jack Rosenthal. Holden is the judge on Britain's Got Talent along with Simon Cowell, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon. She was the judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 to 2006.
